What We've Been Up To

Just so you all know, I've been MIA because of my yucky computer! That poor thing had a bad processor and was running SO SLOW! Blog hopping was almost impossible! Anyway, here I sit with my new MacBook that my sweet husband surprised me with the other day!! :) This thing is lightening fast and if I could just figure it all out, I'd be good to go! Next week when the kids are back in school I'll be attending some workshops with the nerds at the Apple store.

Anyway, Peyton's softball season has begun and her team is  off to a 3-0 start! Yay!

I'm thinking that the team is doing so well because of the excellent coaching...
Look alive, Coach Day!

On Saturday the kids were invited to a birthday party at Jump N Fun. Dave always likes to get in on that action.
Sweaty Pate and Virginia.

Later that day, we went to party #2 at Skate World in Kernersville. The last time we went to a skating party, Boy skated for 5 minutes and called it quits. He didn't like it and I didn't think that he would ever want to try it again. After Pate and I started skating, he asked Dave if he could skate.
Poor boy couldn't keep his balance and stand on his own, but he sure did have 7 minutes of fun with his dad!

Susie-skate-a lot had a fabulous time skating and singing with the cool music. Thankfully, she is a good enough skater that she doesn't need me (or want me) to help her skate anymore. Evidently, it's no longer cool to hold hands with your mom in the rink like it was 4 months ago!
There were 2 major injuries at this party- a little girl broke her arm and another girl that fell on her knee and is now in a cast that goes from her hip to her foot! April, we had a great time at the party! And not just because we walked away in one piece!!

Easter Sunday after church we went to visit Mimi and Granddaddy. We went to the 8:30 early service so, by this time, everyone had changed out of their cute outfits and of course I didn't get any family pictures!!

We're headed to the beach, so maybe we'll have some nice weather and I can get some good family pictures.

Julie you have the sweetest family! Peyton is just beautiful an looks so cute out there on the softball field. How nice that Dave in the coach.

Love the pictures of Cade tryng to skate. Bless his heart.

When you mentioned the skating party I could instantly smell that awful smell of Skate Land in the burg. Nasty!

You guys are the most birthday partying people. I love that you and Dave get to both go and have fun with your children.

Have fun at the beach!

Yes, I agree. Your family is adorable! I can just imagine Peyton skating alone and singing to all the songs. And yes, I could smell the nasty smell of a skating rink, too!!! YUCK! Poor Cade:( At least he gave it a try. And I'm laughing at Dave being the softball coach! I bet Peyton is so proud!!

LUCKY about the MacBook! Dave gets MAJOR cool points for that one.

I can't believe Skate World is STILLLLL there. I've been to my share of bday parties at the Kville SW back in the day. De ja vu! LOL that you called Peyton Suzy Skate a lot. That sounded like a name I would come up with.

Have fun at the beach! I think we're headed there on Sun.

I hadn't ever been to the Skate World in KVille before Saturday, but it looks like it has been there FOREVER! Why are ALL skating rinks so nasty??! At least they played the Disney type music and not organ music!

Yea Julie's back! I'm so jealous of your new MacBook...can yours take funny pictures like Dolly's? If so, get on that ASAP! :)

You guys are the birthday party hoppers, but I tell you what, now days you get b'day invitations every day because every kid in school has a big to-do! In fact, I just went to Target this morning and got two gifts for this weekend...Max better get some good gifts come November! :)

The kids look so cute - especially Peyton in her softball uniform. And good for Boy...he made it two minutes longer than the last time he skated!

Have a great time at the beach and we'll expect great posts now that you have that fancy dancy computer!

A MACBOOK???!!!! Wow, I think it is really special when Mike comes home from Starbucks and actually brings me one. You are a lucky gal, you. I have heard that once you've had Mac...you don't go back!

Your kids are just beautiful. I was wondering what happened to you. I can't wait to get a beach update.
