My Funny Daughter

This afternoon when Peyton got home, I got out her folder to get her started on her homework. I got her set up at her desk, went over all of her work and told her to bring me her finished work so I could check it. One of her assignments was to write about a time that she was a helper to a grown-up. She is a wonderful little helper to many people but this is what she chose to write about and bring to me:

I help my mom take care of my brother. For example, sometimes
my mom wants to watch TV and she cannot because my brother Cade is
bugging her. So I take Cade to the playroom and play with him.

What??!! What about the time when you helped Gee Gee with her yard sale?? And remember what an incredible help you were to me when Cade was getting his Botox injections?? And how about the time that I was feeling really sick and you tried to clean up the house for me?? I told her that she could not hand that in because her teacher would think that I was a bulbous glutton who sits around watching Judge Judy all day! (I save the DVR'd Judge Judy's for late at night when I can't sleep!) I rarely watch TV during the day. But, I have to admit, her paper is pretty funny and I'll let her hand it in, but will be sure to tell Ms. Walton that Peyton enjoys writing fiction! That, or I am truly living up to my blog name!!

Now that is funny! I can just see you lounging in front of the TV, eating bon bons all day, yelling at Peyton to take care of her brother so you can watch soap operas! You know its the truth, your just embarassed because you got busted!:)

Dont you wonder where kids come up with these things? At least it was homework and you got to see it first.

Okay, THAT is a funny story! And here I thought you actually had a legit business making neat things, sewing window treatments, etc. Do you really order all that stuff from China? :)

Jsnap,I am laughing! OUT LOUD! Kids are so funny! The things they say and do!

When Maddie was in preschool her teacher told me she would often raise her hand during prayer request time and ask prayer for her to get some new clothes!

So funny! Thanks for posting and making me laugh!

Jennifer you are so witty!

Julie! I am laughing so hard! I had my hand over my mouth laughing and Caroline wanted to know what was so funny!!

OH MY GOODNESS! That is so funny. I'm still shaking. I bet you felt like a couch potato with your Judge Judy. I can just see you laying on the couch, telling Cade to "Shhhh!" with an irritated look on your face while you're turning up the volume even louder with the remote. And then sweet Peyton gently takes Cade by the shoulders and helps him into the playroom.

Still laughing!

hahaha! I'm just catching up on this post. That's hilarious. And funny about your title fitting Peyton's homework assignment. Although we ALL know you are NOT lazy at all.

I just read your other post too...I think that lazy seamstress copied you!

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!

That is so funny! My Mother in law said that one time her daughter answered the phone and told the person on the other end that her Mommy was "going potty" and they would have to call back! She said she just knew it was Macel Falwell or someone from church!!

Kids are funny, and hopefully the teachers take those papers with a grain of salt (I know I did when I was teaching!)
